Welcome to Inclusive Transportation Around the World, a biannual newsletter dedicated to sharing global advancements and addressing challenges in creating inclusive transportation systems, with a strong focus on developments in emerging economies. Originally launched in 1990 as "Accessible Transportation Around the World" by Access Exchange International (AEI), the newsletter became an essential resource for accessibility professionals and advocates, documenting over three decades of progress in accessible public transport for persons with disabilities, seniors, and other vulnerable groups.
Now under the stewardship of CABE Foundation, the newsletter has been renamed "Inclusive Transportation Around the World" to reflect an expanded vision. We are proud to continue AEI’s legacy, with the support and inspiration of its now-retired founder, Mr. Thomas (Tom) Rickert. Tom has graciously joined us as our Honorary Chief Editor with a team of editors assisting him. We look forward to publishing our first issue under this new title in November 2024.
